Rebuilding- Health. Life. Purpose. Preparing For Life On The Road
At 58, I'm getting back in shape physically, mentally, and financially and building towards a life of travel and freedom.

My father was an outdoorsman, and I grew up following him into the woods of Maine—fishing, hunting, and learning what it meant to slow down and be present.
Over time, life got busy. Work, responsibilities, and injuries started to take their toll. I got out of shape, and like a lot of people, I lost some of that connection to the outdoors.
But that’s not how I want the story to end.
At 58, I realized something.
I wasn’t preparing for retirement… I was preparing to sit still and get old.
Overweight. Out of shape. Comfortable. Going through the motions.
So I started changing things.
Losing weight. Getting stronger. Planning life on the road. Building a truck setup for the future. Learning what retirement actually costs.
No fake guru stuff. No pretending I’ve got it all figured out. Just documenting the reset in real time.
And now my wife Jeni and I are focused on rebuilding everything—my health, our finances, and our plan to eventually live and travel full-time.
Starting at 58 - Planning for retirement starts now. Trying to make smart decisions while there's still enough time left for those decisions to matter.
From rebuilding my health to building the finances, truck, camper, and plans, this is where I'll share my thoughts on the progress.
